Angelica Gregory the
Founder of Art 4 NY was inspired to start this non-profit by her grandmother. Her grandmother Mary E Hilliard, passed away from Alzheimer's in 2016.
To deal with the grief of losing her and to repay her for all the love she showed Angelica, she began volunteering at Upper East Side Rehabilitation and Nursing Center's worship service.

After falling in love with the residents, she started attending a reading group held after each worship service. Suddenly, an idea came to her: maybe residents at the nursing home would enjoy hearing Shakespeare sonnets like my grandma.
Well, it turns out they did!
